Ron Paul On Middle East Foreign Policy and Israel

The following video presents an interview on Ron Paul’s Middle East foreign policy. Journalist Jack Hunter, who copnducted the interview, focused on Paul position concerning Israel. It is rather enlightening considering the the esclusion of Paul to the recent Republican Jewish Coalition presidentail debate. A second video offers additional perspective at least one possible reason why some establishment Republicans are both distorting Paul’s policy statements, like his statement about Isael’s creation of Hamas, and his the opposition’s motivation. It should be further noted that Paul actually credited the United State’s government using Israel as a proxy in the creation of Hamas just like it did Al Queda and others. (Watch this video of Paul’s statement to Congress.)

Did you hear the reason? Governments and special interest groups like Hamas have no reason or motivation to stop the endless conflict. This means they have reason and motivation to foment conflict: money and power. That is our tax dollars and the their authorized empowerment for conflict, which as you will see is sourced by our federal government’s dictates of power.

Open letter to Citizens for Community Values

Mr. Phil Burress/Mr. Seth Morgan,

Seth, from your letter, can I assume Ron Paul was not “seriously considered” by those attended the Christian evangelical endorsement meeting in Texas. Was Dr. Paul even invited? If you intentionally excluded him, you are doing so at the peril of future generations of Americans. There is no candidate more conservatuive than Ron Paul, and what sets him apart from the other candidates is his advocacy for the Constitution and individual rights, not to mention the tried and true Republican value that individuals should be personally responsible for the consequences of their actions. I know there are a lot of folks from the right and left who want to dictate the behavior of others, but you can’t have it both ways. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the Founders believed that as long as we do not infringe upon the rights of others, the government has no business in our personal affairs.

And to speak to electability…….did you know that Ron Paul finished 2nd in the New Hampshire Democrat primary! Imagine the draw he would have on Independents and Democrats in the general election where no voters are compelled to vote for their own-party candidates.

Respectfully,

John Mitchel, LtCol, USAF (Ret)

Republican Liberty Caucus Endorses Ron Paul for President

The Republican Liberty Caucus national board is proud to endorse Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) for the Republican presidential nomination. In a field of candidates who show little genuine commitment to individual liberty or reducing the size of government, Rep. Paul stands out as a consistent champion of the values of the Republican Liberty Caucus; limited government, personal liberty and free enterprise.

“Ron Paul has been the one Congressman willing to consistently stand up against abuses of government power and for protecting the rights of citizens,” said RLC National Chairman Dave Nalle. “He has led opposition to the War on Drugs, REAL ID and the PATRIOT Act. Just in the past year he has joined us in fighting against unconstitutional military detention of civilians, government tracking of workers through e-verify and a federal takeover of the internet. These are issues which grassroots Republicans are concerned about, but the party establishment is not listening. Ron Paul is the only candidate who really speaks for the grassroots of the Republican Party.”

“Paul has often been a lone vote against big government and big spending in the wilderness of the House of Representatives, but as president that lone vote would become a veto and stop government abuses dead in their tracks,” observed Earl Bandy, Chairman of the RLC of Colorado. “That alone is a great reason to put Ron Paul in the White House and give him that power.”

A major goal of the Republican Liberty Caucus is to expand the number of Senators and Representatives who are truly dedicated to the principles of small government, free enterprise and individual liberty. We made a good start towards changing Congress in 2010 and with Ron Paul at the head of the Republican ticket and a great field of liberty candidates we can win even more seats in Congress in 2012.

With leaders like Ron Paul this is the year when we can bring our government back to the values of the founders and put the liberty and prosperity of our citizens at the top of the national agenda rather than the bottom.

Founded in 1991, the Republican Liberty Caucus exists to promote individual liberty, limited government, and free enterprise within the Republican Party. To find out more, please visit www.rlc.org. This endorsement decision was the result of a vote of RLC state chapters nationwide and certified by the national board. This is the first time the RLC has endorsed a presidential candidate since 1996.

Alternative to Fair Tax

By Andy Myers

I’m not a proponent of the fair tax, and yes that makes me a target as was the case this past weekend at the gun and knife show. Our state sovereignty and audit the Federal Reserve booth was very well received by those who understand that our 2nd amendment rights come from a power higher than government, and we had well over 500 people sign our petitions. The NRA booth was next to ours and along with plugging the NRA to which I’d rather support GOA and the Buckeye Firearms Institute, he was plugging the Fair Tax. Most people familiar with the fair tax already know the details, so I would like to offer a “constitutional” alternative to the debate.

How about something that goes back beyond the fair tax all the way to June 2, 1944. The Liberty Amendment is an idea of Willis E. Stone, an industrial engineer. Born in Denver Colorado, who was a descendant of Ralph Waldo Emerson, the philosopher, and of Thomas Stone, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. As space in this letter is limited, I will paraphrase in the hopes that those who “understand the root of the problem is a federal government that has thrown aside the rules in which it was delegated.” will understand what the Liberty Amendment is about.

The Constitution is very specific in what powers the “sovereign states” granted it. And, there is a “proper and legal” way of changing it if need be. But our government disregards this process, for which they “swore an oath to” and continues to chain the people to a certain future of despotism. Stone’s Liberty Amendment on the other hand has been designed to fight all the multitude of apparently different battles at once, and win by “restoring the Constitution to full force and effect.” Once the Amendment is applied, a multitude of diversified battles will be won. The one thing about this proposal I disagree with is calling for a constitutional convention as this could likely lead to something far worse than what we could imagine. That is another subject that can not be adequately address in this letter.

The 4 sections of the Liberty Amendment are as follows:

Section 1. The Government of the United States shall not engage in any business, professional, commercial, financial or industrial enterprise except as specified in the Constitution.

Section 2. The constitution or laws of any State, or the laws of the United States shall not be subject to the terms of any foreign or domestic agreement which would abrogate this amendment.

Section 3. The activities of the United States Government which violate the intent and purpose of this amendment shall, within a period of three years from the date of the ratification of this amendment, be liquidated and the properties and facilities affected shall be sold.

Section 4. Three years after the ratification of this amendment the sixteenth article of amendments to the Constitution of the United States shall stand repealed and thereafter Congress shall not levy taxes on personal incomes, estates, and/or gifts. Henry David Thoreau once said, “There are thousands hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root.”

Please go to www.libertyamendment.com and let us strike at the root of the problems being created by an out-of-control federal government.
